Should you wish to submit a story to us in the form of a press release, please read our simple guidelines below:
A regular cadence of important news can assist a business stand out and build trust with journalists over time. That is where the media release (or news announcement) comes in.
A press release is an official statement (written or recorded) which the organisation issues into the news media and outside. Whether we call it a”press release,” a”media announcement,” a”news release,” or a”press release,” we are always referring to the same basic thing.
While the heading must include action verbs, the first paragraph should answer the who, what, why, and where. The press release must also include comprehensible language and a quotation.
Most press releases are succinct at only a page long — two pages, tops. Ultimately, companies wish to give enough information so that news outlets have enough material for publishing their own stories about whatever the company is announcing from the release.
And while it can be tempting to craft a press release that embellishes your company’s accomplishments or spins the facts to make a story seem more intriguing to the media, remember: Press releases reside in the public domain, which means your customers and prospective clients can view them. So rather than thinking of a media release solely as a ticket to getting news coverage, you should also think of it as a precious part of marketing content.
